Morning Notes

US Futures are relatively flat this morning ahead of Fed Chair Janet Yellen and other FOMC members speaking about monetary policy where the market will listen for clues as to the timing of the imminent interest rate hike. European stocks are trading slightly lower mostly led by cautious comments from Rolls Royce as the expect nearly a $1B decrease in sales stemming from the lack of demand in aircraft engines. In addition ECB president Draghi made comments regarding the weak economic outlook due to the slowing global growth. Asian stocks closed mixed.

 

Technicals

The SPY traded lower in yesterday’s session closing near the lows of the day. Support will lie at the low of yesterday’s range at $207.66, followed by $207.19, $206.95, and the 200 day moving average at $206.47. Resistance will lie at the high of yesterday’s range at $208.94, followed by $209.49, $210.32, and descending resistance at $210.75.
